For people who just want to move better

Build a Body That Feels Capable Again.

You don’t need to play hockey. You don’t even need to consider yourself an athlete.

If your hips, back, shoulders, knees or ankles feel restricted, weak or difficult to trust, this system gives you a structured way to start working on how your body moves.

Founding member offer

  • $39 CAD/month instead of the future $59/month rate
  • PLUS: Rebuild Your Hips in 90 Days — $197 Value — FREE
  • Available exclusively to the first 100 Founding Members.

Who this is for

You do not need to be an athlete. You just need to want your body to work better.

This is a strong fit if:

  • You feel stiff or restricted
  • An old injury still affects how you move
  • You want to get back into training
  • You want to maintain your mobility
  • You feel weak in certain ranges
  • You want a structured approach instead of random exercises
  • You want to better understand your body
  • You want to stay active as you get older

Not appropriate as a replacement for:

Medical diagnosis, acute injury assessment, post-operative rehabilitation or professional healthcare when needed.

What this could look like for you

Use the system for the life you actually live.

Before the gym

Use joint preparation.

Old hip restriction

Use Rebuilding.

Shoulder has range but feels weak

Use Bulletproofing.

Body feels beat up

Use Recovery.

Want to maintain movement

Use daily CARs.

Old ankle injury

Use joint-specific work and progressions.

Want to feel more capable

  • Build range, control and strength progressively.

Life still asks you to move.

Get out of bed. Walk. Take stairs. Train. Golf. Garden. Hike. Travel. Play with your kids. Lift something off the floor. Reach overhead. Get down and get back up.

Your joints still matter.

And when one of them becomes restricted, weak or difficult to trust, that limitation can start affecting much more than exercise.

The Membership was built primarily around hockey athletes.

But underneath those examples, we’re training the same thing you use every day:

The human body.

“I’m just getting old”

Age does not explain every physical limitation.

As people get older, it is easy to start accepting things like:

“My hips are just bad.” “My shoulder doesn’t move anymore.” “That ankle never came back after the injury.” “My back always feels tight.” “I’m too old to change this.”

Sometimes there is a legitimate medical issue that needs professional care.

But sometimes nobody has ever actually asked:

What range is missing? What can you move passively but not actively? Where are you weak? What joint is compensating? What can be progressively trained?

That is a very different conversation than: “You’re just getting old.”

Feeling different is not the same as being different.

The ankle after surgery — the plate, the screws, and the start of everything

The system is built joint by joint

Start with the joint that is limiting you.

You do not need a “hockey body.”

You need your hips to work. Your ankles to move. Your shoulders to rotate. Your spine to move. Your knees to tolerate load.

The Membership is organized around joints and movement needs.

That means you can focus on the area that is actually affecting you.

  • “My right hip barely rotates.”
  • “My shoulder feels stuck overhead.”
  • “My ankle has never moved the same after an injury.”
  • “My groin always feels tight.”
  • “My hips feel weak at the edge of my range.”

Those are human movement problems.

Not hockey-only problems.

Relief vs capacity

Feeling better for an hour is not the same as building a more capable body.

Stretching can feel good.

Massage can feel good.

Rolling can feel good.

Treatment can help.

None of those things are automatically bad.

But temporary relief and long-term physical capacity are not the same thing.

Eventually your body still has to move, control itself, create force, and tolerate the positions life asks from it.

That is where training becomes important.

Dylan’s story

I know what it feels like when your body starts running your life.

For years of my professional hockey career, my body became something I had to constantly manage.

My hips had lost huge amounts of movement.

My lower back and SI joint were continually compensating.

I could spend hours stretching, rolling and trying to make myself feel good enough to play.

Eventually, my whole day could revolve around my body.

That experience changed how I think about physical limitations:

Your body should not become a full-time job just so you can do the things you love.

The goal isn’t to become obsessed with fixing yourself.

The goal is to build enough understanding and physical capacity that your body takes up less of your attention.

That is true whether you are trying to play professional hockey…

or simply trying to live your life without constantly managing the same problem.

The four jobs of the system

Different problems need different training.

The goal is not to do everything every day.

The goal is to stop guessing and choose the right type of training for what your body actually needs.

Prepare

Prepare

Get a joint ready before exercise or activity.

Rebuild

Rebuild

Work on movement that has become meaningfully restricted.

Recover

Recover

Use lower-intensity work when your body feels beat up or fatigued.

Bulletproof

Bulletproof

Build more strength and control through the movement you already have.

Different problem. Different tool.

Interactive Mobility Guide

Not sure what you need? Start with the problem.

You don’t need to know exercise terminology.

Tell the Interactive Mobility Guide what you are dealing with.

  • My hip feels locked.
  • My shoulder has lost range.
  • My ankle has been restricted for years.
  • My back always tightens up after training.
  • I’m flexible but weak in those positions.

The Guide helps ask follow-up questions and direct you toward a logical starting point inside the platform.

You do not need to know whether you need PAILs, RAILs, lift-offs, CARs, or end-range isometrics.

That is what the system is there to help organize.

The Interactive Mobility Guide

The Membership is an educational training platform and does not replace qualified medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment.

Interactive Mobility Guide

Interactive Mobility Guide

A navigational tool that points you to the most suitable session for whatever your body needs today — across every library and every joint.

The hockey examples are there because that is where the brand comes from.

The joints themselves belong to everybody.

The first 90 days

“But where do I start?”

I don’t want you joining, seeing hundreds of options, and immediately having to guess again.

So for our first 100 members, your first 90 days can already be mapped out.

And for most people, the hips are where the most movement has quietly gone missing.

And Rebuild Your Hips in 90 Days becomes a separate $197 purchase instead of being included.

So you’re not just locking in the lower rate — you’re getting the exact roadmap I wish I’d had when I had to rebuild my own hips.

$39/month + FREE $197 Hip Rebuild. First 100 members only.

Built from experience. Refined through coaching.

The system didn’t come from reading one textbook and deciding I understood mobility.

It came from years of learning, experimenting, getting things wrong, working with coaches and practitioners, rebuilding my own body, then applying and refining these principles with people who needed their joints to work.

Most of the athletes I coach happen to play hockey — but the hips, backs, shoulders and ankles they’re describing are the same ones you have.

“Dylan has been crucial in helping me with my adductor issues. I had recurring groin injuries for years, but since I started working with him, my adductors have never felt stronger.”

Guillaume MaillardHC Sierre | Swiss League

“I’ve battled hip and back issues my whole life, and by the end of the summer all of my pain was out the window. I felt more efficient on the ice than ever before and honestly had never felt better heading into a season.”

Chase DafoeRockford IceHogs | AHL

“Hood Athletic Edge was a game changer for me. This training greatly improved my pain management and helped keep me healthy throughout the season.”

Cody AlmondNHL | Swiss National League

“Every year I’ve seen growth in my performance, strength, and overall movement. His injury prevention and rehab work has been a huge part of staying healthy.”

Smyth RebmanSpokane Chiefs | WHL

“Training with Dylan allowed me to access ranges of motion I didn’t think I had and build strength at my end ranges to help prevent injury.”

Brandon McMillanNHL | KHL

You are not too far gone

Your starting point does not have to be your finishing point.

You may have an old injury, years of stiffness, lost range, a joint you have avoided using, or a body that simply does not feel the way it used to.

That does not mean every limitation will disappear.

And it does not mean every problem can be solved through training alone.

But the body can adapt.

  • Range can improve.
  • Control can improve.
  • Strength can improve.
  • Confidence in movement can improve.

The first step is understanding what you can actually train.

Questions

I’m not an athlete. Is this really for me?
Yes. Hockey is in the name because hockey players are our primary coaching population. The system itself is organized around joints — hips, ankles, shoulders, spine, knees, wrists and elbows — and around what each joint needs. You don’t need a sport. You need a body you’d like to work better.
I’m out of shape and haven’t trained in years. Where do I start?
With the Interactive Mobility Guide. Tell it what feels stiff, weak or restricted and how much time you have, and it points you at a starting session. Many are five to fifteen minutes, low intensity, and fully demonstrated.
I have an old injury. Can I still use this?
No. Hood Athletic Edge provides fitness training and education. It does not diagnose or treat injuries and isn’t intended to replace medical care, physiotherapy or another appropriate healthcare professional. If you’re injured, experiencing significant or unexplained pain, or have medical concerns, seek appropriate professional assessment. That said — once you’ve been cleared to start rebuilding after an injury, the techniques in this system can be incredibly powerful. This isn’t a rehab program, but progressive isometrics are arguably the best entry point post-injury: realigning connective tissue, remodelling scar tissue, rebuilding capacity, rebuilding trust in the joint and the range itself — and then building real strength at the end ranges of that motion, which is where most rehab stops short and where it matters most.
How much time does this take each day?
Sessions run from about five minutes up to an hour. Ten focused minutes a day, done consistently, is a legitimate starting point — the point is consistency, not volume.
Do I need equipment?
Most sessions need very little — floor space and something to elevate a limb. Where a band, blocks or a bench help, the session says so and shows an alternative.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The membership is month-to-month and can be cancelled according to the membership terms. If you cancel your Founding Membership and later return, the current public membership rate will apply.

The goal isn’t to spend your life working on your body.

The goal is to build enough capacity that you can get back to using it.

Train. Travel. Golf. Hike. Play with your kids. Do the things you enjoy.

Your body should support your life. Not constantly interrupt it.

Or…

  • Assess it.
  • Train it.
  • Build it.
  • Own it.

Built for hockey players. Built on the human body. Useful far beyond hockey.
